Beaches
The nearest beaches can be found at Amroth and Wiseman’s Bridge. They are a 15 minute drive away.
Surfing beaches can be found at Freshwater West, Newgale and Whitesands. The last two of these beaches have lifeguards in the summer months.
Other beautiful beaches that are worth a visit are Barafundle Bay which was voted Britain’s best beach and one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Broad Haven South is also worth a look. Both of these have a National Trust car park where you can leave your car and the beaches are a short walk from there.
All beaches are accessible to dogs between the months of October and April. Between April and October, the nearest dog friendly beach is Coppet Hall (though it says ‘Voluntary Ban’, it is still popular with dogs and their owners), which is between Wiseman’s Bridge and Saundersfoot. Why not try parking at Coppet Hall, take a short walk to Saundersfoot for an ice cream and walk back.
